Under the Bridge Studios, in collaboration with Music for Kids and Radio Free Brighton, have a long history of running workshops with local schools and community groups. The rehearsal space and recording studio allows us to give groups the opportunity to experience music in a comfortable, fully equipped and safe environment. And the radio allows us to teach people how to produce and manage their own shows, which can then go out to all of our listeners across the world!
In 2011 we were host to a group of students from Blatchington Mill school. Due to the presence of Radio Free Brighton in the building we were able to give them first-hand experience of creating and producing their own radio shows. Over the course of a few month they had recorded an aired a school radio show, a play, a

series of global conversations talking to victims of the floods in Pakistan. They also wrote and composed their own song, which they recorded here at the studio with the help of some of the bands who practise here and did a series of storytelling segments for younger children to listen to at home.
We’ve also worked closely with local disability groups, young offenders, disabled children and their parents, organised workshops on sound engineering, and much more. We’re looking to release a whole programme of workshops throughout 2012, so check this page regularly for updates.
Also, if you are a member of a group who would like to run or host a workshop with us then please get in touch, we’d love to hear from you. We can be reached on 01273 601804 or 07799 564620
